This shows french line infantry (fusiliers and grenadiers) from the Régiment Limousin marching toward its fame at the battle of Villinghausen (July 16th 1761), during the Seven Years War. Although Villinghausen is a French tactical defeat, the regiment Limousin distinguished itself during the encounter.
The uniforms are pretty accurate. The grenadiers on the right shows the tweaks the SYW has bring in the French army: by the end of the war, most grenadiers had their tricorn hats changed for a bearskin in the austrian fashion. It is very unlikely that European french regiments had new vests with coloured turnbacks and collars before the end of the war so I represented the old design.
The flags are also accurate: the one on the right is the Colonel's flag (white cross on a white field) and the one on the left is the regimental one.
Technically I tried to work on the blur and movement effects to make it look more realistic.
