This Teutonic knight tried to make it out from the battlefield through the woods on his wounded horse, only to get it dying under him, and then being attacked by Baltic tribesmen in ambush.

The whole gear, weaponry and equipment fits the middle of the 13th century, and should be pretty accurate.
